About The Shop
"The Shop", located in Asbury Centre at the corner of Chicago and Franklin Streets, is a community outreach ministry and fundraiser. It offers clothing and household items at affordable prices and presents a daily connection to its neighbors through its 70-80 faith-filled volunteers that selflessly serve every month. it also provides emergency clothing needs for individuals and families within our community through social service agencies, such as First Contact and Caring Place. All proceeds are donated to missions that benefit many within our community and state, as well as around the world.
The UMW resale shop regularly puts out new merchandise and features seasonal clothing for men, women and children, along with household goods, books and just about anything in between. Clothing is changed out at the change of each season.
Christmas items are collected all year and are brought out for sale at the beginning of the Christmas season. This is a big event and many look forward to it every year.
Clothing assistance is available for families in need. To receive this assistance, visit the lobby of our main church building across the street from "the shop" at 103 Franklin Street.
