Clara Biswas, native of Bangladesh, now serves as community worker in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Clara  spent September 2007 through late October 2007 visiting supporting churches in Virginia, Northern Illinois, California and North Indiana.  Clara stopped briefly in Valparaiso to speak to the United Methodist Women gathering.  We are pleased to have the opportunity to be one of her support churches.  Her birthday is on Christmas Day.

Volunteer Missionary Margie Miller Margie Miller, our resident volunteer mission worker has spent a good deal of time on the mission field at Universidad Biblica Latinoamericana in Costa Rica, Central America. We appreciate the selfless work Margie gives to help the students at the university. Recently, Margie communicated to Valpo FUMC the need for paint, as the dorms at the school hadn't been painted in a very long time.

The National/International Missions team here at Valpo FUMC organized to donate the funds needed to supply the University with the much-need paint. The photos below show the modest dorm rooms with their fresh coat.
