Food Pantry

Pantry Report

   June, 2014

In May, 255 families were served at the pantry, which provided food for 623 people. A huge "thank you" to all who may have contributed to the postal food drive and the food collected at the Memorial Day concert. We were truly blessed with the generous giving to the pantry!

We are well supplied to start the giving of the Kid's Kits. We have some kits left from a number donated for children home for spring break. Fruit cups, applesauce cups and pudding cups are always good to receive, along with the tomato and chicken noodle soups. They can also be used for regular giving if all are not needed for kits.

   Especially appreciated now are:

  -- Paper towels

  -- Bathroom tissue

-- One pound boxes of rice

  -- Tuna (in water)

  -- Peanut butter

  -- Pork 'n' beans

Monetary donations will go for the extra milk and hot dogs that will be offered with the kids kits. And as always - all donations of any kind are greatly appreciated and shared with the neighbors in our community that are in need of our service.

Thanks for caring and sharing,

Nan, Sharon and Anne

How and Where You Can Donate

Monetary donations would enable the Pantry to provide those items not normally donated. Checks should be made payable to FUMC and noted "Christian Food Pantry."

Please leave your food donations in the shopping cart located inside the doors at the Franklin Street entrance. As always, your generosity is greatly appreciated by the clients and volunteers of the food pantry.

Your prayers for the Pantry staff and clients are most important for success in helping those in need.
