If you have ever thought of helping in the mission field but did not feel a faraway place or primitive conditions were for you, then the United Methodist Midwest Mission Distribution Center near Springfield, Illinois, is the place to consider. We are sending a mission team from Sunday, March 4, 2018 through Thursday, March 9, 2018. The team will stop for supper on the way and will stop for lunch on the way home.

At Midwest Mission Distribution Center, there is no walking or heavy lifting required, and many tasks can even be done sitting. Work ranges from assembling health, school, or sewing kits to sorting and inventory work, to working in the wood or bicycle shops. Accommodations are in a small dormitory right on the center of the property where all meals are eaten and much laughter and friendship is shared.

The cost is $200 which includs meals while at the center and transportation. Want more information? Contact Mike Strayer or Karen Fritz for details and to sign up.
